"Nature Preserved" is an art and educational exhibit by David Sussman, local photographer, on display at CHEC Alligator Creek, Caniff Center Nov. 27, 2017 through Mar. 30, 2018. Caniff Center is open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This exhibit is appropriate for residents and visitors of all ages and interests from nature, environment, art, etc. On display are a variety of canvas art from a life size Florida Panther to microscopic spores and insects. Informational placards are located with each art piece, which outline the subject and photographic techniques. Opening reception and ribbon cutting is Thursday, Dec. 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. There are two informal lectures scheduled by the artist on Jan. 25 and Feb. 8. Docent tours and private showings are available by calling 850.866.8566. Closing reception and two raffle drawings will be on Thursday, Mar. 22 at 5:00 pm. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to CHEC.
