INTRODUCTION TO FRENCH LANGUAGE & CULTURE: Mondays, 4:30 to 6 p.m., 6-week course January 8 to February 12. PGI Civic Association, 2001 Shreve Street, Punta Gorda. BASKETWEAVING CLASS: Tuesdays, January 9, 16, 23. 9 a.m. to Noon. Learn to weave a large fruit basket. Pre-requisite: One beginner basket weaving class or prior basket weaving experience. LET’S GO FISHING: Wednesdays, 7 to 9 p.m. beginning January 10, PGI Civic Association, 2001 Shreve Street, Punta Gorda. Introductory course in Florida Fishing offered by local fishing guide Captain Ralph Allen. (He might reveal locations of a few local hotspots!) Topics include fishing techniques, tackle selection, rigging, knot tying, lures, baits, cast nets, fish identification, tides, and fishing regulations for fishing in fresh and salt waters of Southwest Florida.
