Florida Gulf Coast University recently announced it will be offering three bachelor degree programs in
Charlotte County.

FGCU Complete is a degree-completion program that would enable nontraditional
students, i.e., generally, working adults 25 years and older, who have obtained an
associate’s degree or approximately a year-and-a-half or more of college credit to pursue an
FGCU bachelor degree. Classes will be held at the FGCU facility on Herald Court in the Punta
Gorda Parking Garage.

Three degree programs are part of FGCU Complete:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Studies
  • Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Studies
  • Bachelor of Science in Resort and Hospitality Management

These degrees are all currently offered to traditional FGCU students; the curriculum, tuition, and,
advising services for the degree-completion version will be the same for non-traditional students
as they are for traditional students. However, student services, registration, and liaison with
FGCU functions for non-traditional students will be coordinated by the Office of Continuing
Education.

FGCU Complete is scheduled to formally commence Spring 2019. In Charlotte County only, FGCU
will pilot several 8-week classes beginning in October, 2018. Students will be able to enroll in the
classes on a non-degree seeking basis.

The classes are being finalized and will be determined in advance of the Charlotte County
Information Session scheduled August 29, 5:30pm at FGCU Herald Court Centre in the City of
Punta Gorda Parking Garage. Please bring copies of college transcripts with you as staff will be
available to review and assess them.
