Punta Gorda Speedway

Punta Gorda Speedway, formerly known as Charlotte County Motorsports Park, was built in 1990. The track is a 3/8 mile banked asphalt speedway which operates primarily on Saturday nights with a full slate of stock car racing, with sprint cars and karts on special occasions. The season begins in mid-January and run through the month of December taking the months of July and August off for summertime.

By offering a clean, affordable, and family-friendly environment, the speedway and staff wishes to enhance the overall experience for all its fans. With about 70 palm trees at the entrance, the 2,500-seat speedway welcomes fans of all ages
to enjoy a night at the races. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for 11-17 year olds. Children 10 and under are free! Fans can enjoy a variety of affordable food choices varying from the classic burger and pork or chicken sandwiches to a chili hot dog or even a fried bologna sandwich.

Gates open at 4 p.m. with qualifying beginning at 6:00 p.m. Racing will start between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., followed by the National Anthem at 8:00 p.m. Feature races will be held between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m.
